Smash and grab devastates Barossa Music Centre owners

Owners, Pete and Cath Koch told The Leader last week they were disappointed that someone would target the family owned business in the “smash and grab” incidents.

“The first one we thought was a false alarm… although at that time of the morning it was a bit odd,” said Cath.

“But the second one I was here within minutes in the hope of seeing the car or the culprits,” added Pete.

A saxophone and oboe were stolen in the first incident and four flutes in the second, in total costing the business more than $10,000 which includes damage to other instruments in the window.

Pete and Cath said the theft has resulted in a change of dynamics.
