Call for support

A former Barossa businessman is calling on The Barossa Council to consider his ideas for the northern entrance to Tanunda, after consultation for the town’s masterplan closed last month.

Mr Nick Paphitis, represented one of a number of submissions made to council following the consultation process for the Tanunda Urban Design Framework and Mainstreet Masterplan.

He, along with his business partners, own property at Kroemer’s Crossing and have visions of creating the land into an entrance that caters for the heritage and nature of the Barossa.

The land is zoned agriculture, but Mr Paphitis is hoping it will be rezoned to not only allow for the establishment of a significant northern entrance but the opportunity to create a business opportunity for a resort as he says the Barossa desperately needs large holiday resorts.
