The Leader is most awarded newspaper

he Leader was the talk of Port Lincoln last Friday night, taking out the most awards for an individual newspaper at the annual Country Press SA 2012 Newspaper Awards.

Winning three major awards for the night, Mr Darren Robinson, Director of Advertising Sales, The Leader, won for Best Advertisement – Image/Branding with an advertising campaign for Bartsch Homes.

Darren then took out the award for Best Advertisement – Priced Product for an advertisement for Villa Homewares & Gifts.

The Leader also won for Best Supplement with the Barossa Co-op. International Year of Co-operatives. Furthermore The Leader received a high commendation for Newspaper Over 6,000 Circulation.

Judge, Mr Lloyd Jenkins described The Leader as a high volume newspaper providing outstanding service in content and presentation.

Referring to the Best Supplement Award,  judge, Mr Graham Greenwood said The Leader best supplement entry was an amazing effort in taking on a subject which one would have thought would hardly rate as a serious advertising supplement or feature.
